I'm a mix of things: a music enthusiast, gym goer and football fan to name a few. And with some of my interests, I've had the opportunity to express my passion for them by becoming a writer and creating content ideas and strategies around them.

My earliest memories of writing content go back to primary school where everyone in my class had to write a creative poem for a compilation book called "Poetry Explorers". It was this experience that I realised I liked translating ideas in my head into written form.

I wasn't really writing after that. In fact, I became (and still am) a numbers guy. I'd only write seriously if I had assignments for school, or more notably for my economics degree when it came to the dissertation. I did well in these scenarios, making me realise I had a natural knack for writing. I wanted to connect this natural ability with something I had a passion for. This is where my music blog was born.

‘perspectiveofjkl’ was born 2 days before my birthday in 2018. This blog focused on UK & African music. Album & EP reviews, think pieces and live show reviews were content I put out on the blog. By setting up my own music blog, I've had the opportunity to write for various platforms including:

‘SoundsOfOurHomeland’ was created by myself and a friend in 2023 to express our passion for music of our Ghanaian and Nigerian heritage. The focus here is to produce educative and entertaining content through written and short-form videos on Ghanaian and Nigerian music, and African music at large.

Over the last few years, I've become really interested in mental health as it is something that affects all humans at varying levels. I'm trained in Mental Health First Aid (so I'm a Mental Health First Aider) and soon enough will be putting out content on mental health awareness - stay tuned for that!.
